Connecting with the Inner Self

Meditation can be scary. Hard. Uncomfortable.

Many people think and often say to themselves "I can't meditate" when they hear the word.

I'm here to say meditation is as simple as taking a few deep full breaths, slowly. You don't have to close your eyes... you can stare at the wall.. or a tree.. or a flower.. or the floor. You don't have to "do" anything special or complicated. You don't have to sit cross-legged. You don't have to say "OM" or speak another language... the simple act of slowly and deeply breathing creates a world of difference in the brain and biochemistry of pretty much any body.

The simple act of slowly breathing and relaxing the gaze is enough to bring heightened nervous states down to a manageable hum. It's enough to rebalance the bodies rhythms, its enough to aid in digestion, blood circulation, even hormonal balance.

Best of all, a few simple deep slow breaths connects us to the Present. And to the YOU at the center of you. The core of you. Who you actually are. Separate from the thoughts ABOUT who you are.

So enjoy a few slow deep breaths each day, maybe a few different times throughout the day and enjoy.

And then you can say "I meditated!"
